Maryam Salehi
Maryam Salehi has a master degree in Physics. She began her professional journey in the field of physics, where she developed a strong foundation in both theoretical and experimental particle physics. She earned her Master of Science in Theoretical Particle Physics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and continued her academic path as a PhD candidate at the University of Malaya. During her doctoral studies, she also spent time as a research exchange student at LMU Munich, working in the area of experimental particle physics. Her research experience, combined with her work as a teaching assistant in subjects like particle physics, reflects her deep engagement with complex scientific concepts and her ability to communicate them effectively.
Ms. Salehi is now a European Patent Expert with approximately five years of experience in the field of intellectual property, specializing in patent prosecution and litigation. She is currently based in Munich, where she works at Lifetech‑IP, providing comprehensive IP services to clients across a wide range of technical fields. Her transition into the IP sector was shaped by her scientific training, which honed her analytical and technical communication skills—both critical in her current profession.
Before joining Lifetech‑IP, Ms. Salehi worked as a European Patent Attorney Candidate at Zimpat, where she gained practical experience with the European patent system, including drafting, prosecution, and client advising. Her earlier roles include administrative and teaching positions in academic and research institutions in Munich and Kuala Lumpur, which have contributed to her adaptable and interdisciplinary working style.
Ms. Salehi’s career pathway spans multiple countries across Asia and Europe, reflecting a deeply international outlook. Having lived and worked in Malaysia, Japan, and Germany, she brings a rich blend of cultural and professional experiences from both Asian and European environments. Based in Munich, she navigates European legal and technical landscapes with ease while also drawing on her time in Asia. She is fluent in English, Persian, and German and familiar with Arabic and French, enabling her to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues across diverse linguistic backgrounds. This international and multilingual perspective enhances her ability to advise global clients with nuanced understanding and culturally informed insight.
